In mid-January, members of the new executive board of Florida Alpha attended the Executive Transition Retreat at the University of Alabama. At this retreat, with other executive boards of Sigma Phi Epsilon from universities such as South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Memphis, and others, topics discussed included a review of the past year, strengths and weaknesses, and goals for the year to come.
These topics were discussed in groups that were led by SigEp alumni volunteers. Collaborative groups were formed for discussions that sought to determine individual and chapter goals.
To quote Logan Hyder, Vice President of Communications: “I think the entire exec board can agree that this retreat was a successful and informative experience. It allowed each of us to hear what we all had to say about the current state of our chapter and how we want to improve going forward. We now understand what we want to achieve and what we need to do to achieve those goals.”
We would like to thank the alumni volunteers who helped to facilitate this event.
