Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Ruck Leadership Institute is an annual five day leadership workshop intended to improve leadership throughout the chapter and into the future of brothers’ careers. Taking place at the University of Richmond, the birthplace of Sigma Phi Epsilon, the leadership program allows brothers to learn from other SigEps across the country and various alumni on how to be an active leader. From learning new forms of leadership to pinpointing where someone needs improvement, Ruck is an invaluable tool for personal growth and development. Ruck Scholars are selected through a rigorous national application process encompassing the entire country.
Florida Alpha is proud to announce that two of our brothers will be attending this institute in June. Brothers Ryan Feocco’25 and Tom Fridrich’25 were both accepted after applying last spring. With Ruck taking place this June, both brothers are excited to see what Ruck has to offer and improve on their leadership skills while also representing Florida Alpha in front of chapters across the country.
“My expectations for Ruck have not changed since the first time I ever heard about it. I believe it will be inspirational and worthwhile to get real world leadership experience. The fact that we get to spend a week in headquarters is thrilling and the fact that I am not entirely sure what is in store for the trip has me on the edge of my seat on what amazing opportunities this organization continues to offer everyday,” Feocco said about his expectations for Ruck.
